|Two-Ingredient Chocolate Sauce
So easy, so delicious!
1/2 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil
1 cup dark chocolate chips or quality chocolate bar, chopped
Place coconut oil in a small heavy saucepan over low heat. When it just starts to melt, add the chocolate chips. Stir with a metal spoon over low heat until the sauce is smooth.
Spoon sauce over scoops of ice cream. Be patient. It will take a few seconds for the chocolate to firm up and form a thin shell on the ice crream.
Makes 1 cup.
Store extra sauce in a jar in the refrigerator. When it's time to enjoy it again, heat by either setting the open jar in a saucepan of water over low heat. Stir the sauce in the jar as it melts. Or, put the open jar in the microwave on low power and stir every 30 seconds.
